Job Summary
Temp Benefits Partner
Assignment Details
- Duration: Approximately 4 months, including 2–4 weeks of training and knowledge transfer
- Ideal Start Date: Mid-July
- Serve as the primary internal partner for leave administration, coordinating with the third-party leave administrator, answering employee questions, auditing/reviewing documentation, and ensuring timely communication throughout the leave process
- Manage the ADA interactive process, including coordinating accommodation requests, engaging with employees and managers, gathering medical documentation, facilitating the interactive dialogue, tracking cases, and partnering with managers and HR partners as needed
- Administer day-to-day employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and 401(k)
- Process new hire enrollments, life events, qualifying event changes, terminations, and benefit eligibility updates
- Review and validate employee benefit elections, payroll deductions, and carrier eligibility files to ensure accuracy
- Respond to employee questions regarding coverage, eligibility, claims, enrollment, and benefit processes
- Partner with benefit vendors to resolve enrollment discrepancies, billing issues, and employee escalations
- Retrieve, audit, and analyze benefits data; prepare reports and reconcile enrollment and payroll information
- Assist with benefits communications, employee education, and open enrollment activities
- Maintain accurate benefit records and support compliance with plan rules and applicable regulations
- Provide administrative support for ongoing benefits projects and process improvements
Experience
- 3–5+ years of hands-on employee benefits administration experience
- Experience supporting a multi-state workforce with varying eligibility rules and benefit offerings
- Experience administering benefits for union and non-union employees, including applying collective bargaining agreement (CBA) eligibility and enrollment provisions to ensure employees are enrolled in the appropriate benefit offerings.
- Strong working knowledge of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, COBRA, and leave-related benefit impacts
- Experience with HRIS/payroll and benefits administration systems (Wurk UKG Ready and Employee Navigator experience is a plus)
- Strong Excel skills with experience retrieving, auditing, reconciling, and reporting data
- Detail-oriented with excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
