The Opportunity
The Director, Global Commercial Planning, is a staff role in support of both the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Commercial Strategy and Operations team. They will report to, and perform as chief of staff, to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and be part of the Global Commercial Leadership Team, contributing broadly to all aspects of commercialization. This role will provide support to a variety of commercial functions including global operations, launch and commercial excellence, insights and analytics, and project leadership. They will be a champion and role model for the BeAVID values and contribute actively to broader Avidity initiatives to build community and purpose.
What You Will Contribute
- Drive agenda creation and administration of Global Commercial Leadership team meetings.
- Support and coordinate ongoing team U.S. commercial team meetings.
- Support development and tracking of commercial and launch key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate the annual forecasting and budgeting process globally and work with FP&A to coordinate ongoing reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate quarterly business reviews across all markets.
- Prepare senior leadership and board presentations as needed.
- Support development for the optimal go-to-market strategy for each priority country.
- Execute RFP and contracting process for global distributor network.
What We Seek
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or another Advanced Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of life sciences industry experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years in a management or leadership role of people or function.
- Experience in rare disease launch commercialization in multiple global markets.
- Working knowledge of a global biotech organization is a strong plus.
- Background in finance, consulting or banking.
- Success operating in multiple organizational models.
- Experience with key aspects of BLA/NDA/MAA filings.
- Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written), matrix leadership, stakeholder engagement, change management, leadership, integration, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel 30% of the time, including working from our La Jolla office and global travel.
What We Will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $220,800 - $244,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience, skillset, internal equity. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
