The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our chemistry team in San Diego to assist with designing, synthesizing, and analyzing antibody oligonucleotide conjugates. The ideal candidate will have biotech/pharma experience in medicinal chemistry, bioconjugation, and nucleic acid therapeutics. The candidate is expected to be a strong team player who enjoys scientific discovery and can communicate and collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
What You Will Contribute
- Design, synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotides, linkers, and protein/peptide/antibody conjugates.
- Effectively collaborate with internal partners to define and meet project goals/timelines.
- Preparation and communication of research results in both oral and written formats.
What We Seek
- BA/BS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline, with minimum of 6+ years of experience or MS with minimum of 4+years of experience.
- Experience in purification and analytical methods for oligonucleotide and conjugates.
- Experience with oligonucleotides and targeted delivery is preferable.
- Previous experience in biotech/pharma is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve organic chemistry problems.
- Proven ability to conduct self-directed research and to work effectively in a dynamic environment with a diverse team of co-workers.
- Solid written and oral communication skills, enthusiasm, integrity, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are necessary.
What We will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $98,500 - $115,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
