Description
The Intern, QA Compliance is an individual contributor who assists in performing a variety of tasks while following CGMP regulations and company standards. The intern will have an opportunity to interact with Avid’s GMP vendors and contribute by obtaining key information on raw materials that are used in production. The intern will obtain experience processing historical Supplier Corrective Action Requests to be more readily accessible to the organization. There will also be an opportunity to learn about vendor-initiated changes and how those are evaluated and processed in Avid’s Quality Systems. Finally, they will gain some experience and exposure to assist Avid during compliance audits.
We're thrilled to provide a 10-week paid internship at our facility in Tustin, CA. As an intern, you'll dive deep into our team's culture, take on significant projects, and play a vital role in our team's dynamics. This temporary, 40-hour per week office position is designed to offer you a wealth of experience and the chance to connect with professionals in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact across departments on the status of records and completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with Avid’s raw material suppliers to ensure compliance with Avid requirements
- Read and comply with necessary SOPs pertaining to the position
- Provide general and clerical support as required for Company files, records and administration
- Execute data entry, filing and scanning documents with a high level of attention to detail
- Perform administrative tasks as they pertain to Avid’s suppliers and the materials and services that are provided to the organization.
- Provide assistance and support during client audit and regulatory inspections.
- Assist in the enforcement of GMP requirements and QA policies.
- Perform other duties assigned by Quality Management.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Completion of introductory coursework in biology, chemistry, or quality systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a quality‑first mindset.
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies or gaps in data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a temporary position operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule.
Starting Monday, June 15th through Friday, August 21st.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
