Job Summary:
As an Account Manager, you will be the key architect and primary interface for our relationships at the Customer Category level, directly driving the achievement of both volume and profit targets. You'll be tasked with translating high-level corporate strategies and Commercial Plans into customized, executable strategies with our customers. This involves leading the execution of all selling initiatives and tactics outlined in the Category Plans. You will serve as Attindas' main point of contact for Customer Buyers, Category Managers, and Sourcing teams, while also collaborating cross-functionally with essential internal partners like Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Accounting, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Financial Execution & Targets: Execute annual and quarterly sales plans designed to achieve specific volume, revenue, and gross margin targets. Assist in tracking customer profitability, promotional allowances, and overall financial performance.
- Account & Relationship Management: Serve as a primary daily point of contact for customer buyers and category managers, focusing on tactical selling activities across the 4 Ps (Product Assortment, Pricing, Promotions/Merchandising, and Shelving).
- Category Planning Support: Actively support the development and local execution of customer-specific Category Business Plans by providing necessary data, monitoring results against scorecards, and adapting tactical plans as needed.
- Forecasting & Compliance: Provide critical input for sales forecasting in partnership with the Demand Planning team. Ensure all customer-facing activities are in full compliance with company policies and operating procedures.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, Category Insights) by communicating timely customer and market intelligence to influence product positioning and optimize sales programs.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: 3+ years of professional sales or marketing experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or higher).
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability in business planning, financial analysis, and retail math concepts. Working knowledge of P&L components related to sales.
- Core Skills: Proven negotiation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation development and delivery skills.
- Technical: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Culture: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment while working independently.
