Job Summary
We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Engineer to support our Inside Sales and SMB go-to-market team from our Austin office. In this role, you’ll serve as a critical technical advisor to prospective customers—explaining our platform, addressing technical questions, and demonstrating how our SASE solution aligns with business needs.
You’ll work alongside Inside Sales Representatives and Channel Partners to help close business faster and smarter, all while deepening your knowledge in the fast-evolving SASE space.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Inside Sales and Account Executives to provide pre-sales technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept tailored to customer use cases.
- Qualify customer needs and translate technical requirements into solution designs that align with our platform’s capabilities.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs and assist with technical documentation or configuration details as needed.
- Build strong relationships with prospects by acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Stay current on SASE trends, competitive landscape, and product updates.
- Assist in onboarding and educating channel partners on solution positioning and technical capabilities.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years in a technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting role—preferably in security, networking, or cloud services.
- Working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, ZTNA, and cloud/SaaS architectures.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and technical curiosity.
- Experience in supporting SMB or mid-market sales cycles is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, AWS, or security-related) are a plus.
