Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting

Your Impact
- Lead and mentor a dedicated revenue accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence to elevate the collective output of the department.
- Own the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, ensuring all financial results are delivered with accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
- Direct the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards for diverse product offerings, providing clarity on complex accounting treatments. Create and maintain documentation of revenue accounting policies including impacts of non-standard contracts
- Drive continuous process improvements across our order to cash and revenue systems to reduce manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment by partnering across the company to ensure seamless integration of new product launches, contract structures and partnerships. You will partner with functions including Product, Product Marketing, Partners, Revenue Operations, Order to Cash, Legal, Accounting and FP&A.
- Maintain a rigorous internal control environment, ensuring that we consistently do what we say we’re going to do regarding financial compliance.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands strong attention-to-detail skills and the ability to 'see around the corner' as the business evolves
- Proven ability to lead through uncertainty and embrace change while maintaining high standards for the team.
- Exceptional communicator who can translate complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker who prioritizes data-driven decisions to solve for the business above all.
- Expertise in optimizing large-scale financial systems and a relentless drive to raise the bar on reporting quality.
Must Have
- Extensive experience in Leading teams through change with a proven track record of driving significant process improvements.
- Deep technical expertise in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition within a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
- Proven experience in Revenue accounting close management, specifically overseeing revenue cycles.
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required
- 7+ years experience working in revenue accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue for SaaS technology companies.
- At least 3 years experience in a manager role.
- At least 2 years of public accounting (Big4 preferred) experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Zuora Revenue, Zuora Billing, Salesforce, and NetSuite.
