Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager with a specialisation in procurement procedures to join our dynamic European team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Operations Manager - Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in streamlining operations, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
What you’ll do:
Procurement Strategy and Planning:
- Understand internal strategy and plan an efficient strategic procurement plan aligned with the company's goals and objectives for Europe.
- Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to enhance procurement processes with regional team.
Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions with local teams.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Operational Efficiency
- Streamline procurement procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate procurement processes into overall business operations in Europe.
Cost Control
- Implement cost-effective measures and negotiate favourable terms to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor and analyse procurement expenditures to identify areas for cost reduction.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies within the procurement process.
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate regular reports on procurement performance in Europe, cost savings, and key performance indicators.
- Analyse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for innovation.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager with a focus on procurement.
- In-depth understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management.
- Articulate with negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is desirable.
- Language skills: Fluent in English, French and Mandarin.
