Accounting Manager

FinanceHybrid Remote, Bucharest, Romania


The role is in charge of internalization of the knowledge and processes, supervise the team to deliver the necessary documents to the relevant stakeholders in accordance with the Romanian RAS and IFRS.


  • Performing and delivering on time monthly and periodical statements to both the company and the authorities;
  • Correct and complete maintenance of financial reports;
  • Development and implementation of internal financial control procedures;
  • Supervision and approval of declarations of: VAT, other taxes, other declarations;
  • Preparation of profit tax returns;
  • Ensuring the company's adaptation to all financial, accounting, legislative regulations, taxes and fees;
  • Keeps in touch with the tax consultants as well as with the financial department of the division in order to prepare the transfer pricing file in time;
  • Ensures the existence of contracts with all affiliated companies;
  • Coordinate the activity of the accounting department;
  • Coordinate the statutory audit process, communicate professionally and regularly with Auditors in the region to ensure that the audit opinion is received on time and no issues are raised;
  • Communicate irregularities or issues to the Finance Director;
  • Regularly review of accounting/close processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability;
  • Assists with the planning and execution of projects to streamline accounting/close processes with the HQ and local entities and implements best practices.




  • 7+ years Accounting work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, including good knowledge of intercompany transactions and understanding of IFRS standards
  • Experience in process optimization
  • Must be able to make decisions and solve problems that are general in nature and for which there are no precedents
  • Able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical skills and a flair for numbers
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Highly organized

  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
