About the role: 

This role is a combination of tactical and strategic activities requiring a professional who can build trust and confidence in the Amber MX team, in order to embed holistic approaches to people experience development and management. The main focus of this role is on managing and implementing organizational processes and practices aligned with our MX local business needs.

 

The Quest:   

 

  • Act as a People Partner to the local leadership team, advising them on all people-related matters, organizational structure, change management and labor relations
  • Own the local people plan, aligning it with the business goals, with a focus on increasing retention and employee engagement, improving employee morale and satisfaction
  • Identifies internal development opportunities for employees, together with the local leadership team and works to implement a coherent strategy at local level.
  • Analyze HR metrics, basing decisions and initiatives on available data
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains talent.
  • Ensure support for all global People initiatives and policies, driving their local implementation and adapting them where necessary to local legal requirements and cultural specificities
  • Offer support for all employees in the location: feedback, conflict management, growth
  • Ensure that employee relations issues and grievances are resolved effectively, intervene and resolve the complex ones with support, whenever needed from the Global People Ops team
  • Manage the local People Ops Admin team, offering feedback, coaching, mentoring, and support, with help whenever needed from the Global People Ops team
  • Effectively lead performance management and employee relations strategy including advising managers on team motivation, conducting appraisals, providing feedback and overseeing disciplinary processes
  • Coach, develop and advise managers to enable them to fully undertake their people management role and embed the leadership behaviors that support Amber’s goals and reflect our values
  • Oversees the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and connecting their role to the overall vision and strategy of the company
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
  • Designs & periodically reviews local policies and practices to maintain compliance with local legislation.
  • Act as culture envoy, ensuring that all local People practices and initiatives are in line with Amber’s philosophy and culture and reflect our core values

The Skills:      

  • 4+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ideally within the gaming or tech industry (a plus).
  • Solid understanding of people management, employee relations, and talent development.
  • Experience with performance management, succession planning, and retention strategies.
