DevOps Engineer
Description
The Role: The DevOps Engineer will participate in the development of the cloud-based software architecture that supports critical Space infrastructure. This architecture includes components like the authoritative DOD mission environments; data engineering and wrangling pipelines; application pipelines; and APIs and other endpoints to serve Space missions. A strong DevOps Engineer will have a solid computer science/software development background with knowledge of Automation and Data Engineering workflows.
Your skills:
- Demonstrable expertise in software development or software engineering
- Familiarity with AWS, to include managed services, and data engineering-related tools and services
- Working knowledge of Python and Java
- Experience with Agile software development practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience designing and delivering analytic solutions in cloud environments
- Familiarity with containerization tools and techniques, container orchestration, and workflow management, to include technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is desired
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and techniques, to include technologies such as Ansible and Jenkins
- Demonstrable experience supporting the design, development, and deployment of data science environments on classified networks is highly desired
Your quals:
- MUST BE US CITIZEN capable of obtaining Secret, TS, or TS/SCI clearance
- 4+ years in a software development or software engineering with strong DevSecOps emphasis
- 4+ years developing and deploying software in an AWS DevOps environment
- Previous experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or higher in technical field related to software development
- Security+ certification strongly preferred
