The Opportunity:
AliveCor is looking for a part-time Health Coach with a focus on cardiovascular conditions and cardiovascular lifestyle risk factors. This is a consultant (W-9) position that requires 20-25 hours per week. Additional hours may be available based on demand.
Our ambition is to be the 24/7 virtual cardiology solution, supporting our members at those times when they are not in front of their physician. Today, we offer the world’s first personal ECG, allowing members to take FDA-cleared, medical-grade ECG’s anytime, anywhere. Our algorithms make instant determinations on what the ECG is telling members about their heart health. In this role, you will help to bring AliveCor’s cardiology expertise to a broader audience by supporting our members with heart health coaching.
Responsibilities:
This consultant will manage a large caseload of assigned members by:
- Coaching members remotely via chat, video, phone and email utilizing Alivecor's coaching platform
- Conducting hyper-personalized, 1:1 member-centric and group health coaching sessions
- Focusing on achieving the highest quality member care via proven behavior change science and evidence-based coaching practices
- Creatively helping members to set and achieve behavior change related to cardiovascular lifestyle risk factors (e.g. stress reduction, nutrition, physical activity, tobacco use, and other topics)
- Reviewing member program progress and supporting them with listening, empathy and feedback by analyzing intake and ongoing member data
- Guiding prevention and effective management of cardiovascular diseases through resources, education and management of various care escalations to ensure the best continuity of care
- Achieving health coaching KPIs through driving results aligned to clinically approved evidence-based guidelines setting a high standard of excellence for long term behavior change
- Collaborating with team members and offering feedback to identify areas and processes to continuously improve the member experience, quality and scalability
- Partnering to communicate shared learnings and provide consistency for our members
- Working cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams within Alivecor (e.g. RNs, MDs, pharmacists and product teams)
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for coaching

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Nursing or related field
- NBC-HWC Coaching Certification
- Prior experience with technologically driven products and or remote monitoring to deliver health coaching services
- Prior experience working with a diverse array of clients to manage and prevent chronic conditions (experience with a focus on HTN/ cardiovascular condition management preferred)
- Significant 1:1 and/or group health coaching experience (virtual or in-person) remote, online or telephonic health coaching
