The Opportunity

As the Sales Director for the UK & Ireland, you will spearhead the commercial adoption of AliveCor’s enterprise-grade, clinical use 12-Lead and 6-lead ECG technology across a complex medical device landscape. This is not a generic sales role; it requires deep expertise in disease management and the ability to navigate the nuances of NHS Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and private health procurement. You will own the full commercial lifecycle from securing tender wins and leveraging supply chain frameworks to driving consensus among cardiologists, primary care leaders and commissioners. We are seeking a leader who can expertly balance direct territory growth with the management of specialized medical device distributors. If you possess a sharp understanding of care pathways, reimbursement mandates, and the unique challenges of selling connected medical devices (SaMD), this is your chance to establish our AI-powered technology as the standard of care for arrhythmia detection.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop sales strategies and programs within the region to achieve the sales target in line with the annual operating plans, for both own direct sales and distributors 
  • Lead strategic expansion of Alivecor Products and Services into new accounts, while driving sales growth in existing accounts
  • Select, hire, onboard and manage distributor partners to drive reproducible results, measurability, and accountability.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to management, and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Establish and manage relationships with key thought leaders, government agencies, reimbursement authorities and insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and maintain relationships and credibility with the AliveCor customer base. Represent AliveCor at medical conventions.

Skills and requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or diagnostics industry, with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the UK and Ireland healthcare procurement systems (e.g., NHS framework agreements, tendering processes).
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (approx. 40%+) across the UK and Ireland.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
