Freelancer Contract
Al Jazeera Media Network are seeking a Senior Facilities Civil Engineer who has several specializations in structural, civil, environmental, and land surveying, waterproofing, includes construction of buildings, erection of water supply networks, drainage, earthworks and construction foundations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve the designs of the civil and structures works submitted from the consultants, third party, and the proposals from contractors, whether the buildings/works are existing or new.
- Manage the construction of the project and ensure the safety and functionalities of the structure and civil.
- Check and repair of the existing structures, retrofit, waterproofing and strengthen the same.
- Organize and direct maintenance for the repair of the existing structure/civil works and waterproofing. 5. Study the materials and discuss the technological aspects of each materials.
- Keep an open communication and consultancy with other relevant specialist;
- Monitor the progress of the project and ensure that the construction conforms to the design and safety or sanitation standards.
- Prepare the civil and structure scope of work.
- To check, review and approve shop drawings, material submittals & As‐built drawings;
- To conduct site visit and generate civil and structure Punch list until all snags are closed.
- To conduct an evaluation for the candidates of the tender , during tender stage.
- Coordinate with other disciplines.
- Study, and provide the civil, structure and waterproofing solutions for any required works whether existing or new.
Education:
- At least a degree in Civil / architecture Engineering
Experience:
- At least 10 years related work experience in site works
