Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario (“the AGO”) is one of the largest art museums in North America, with a collection of close to 100,000 works. Through the collection as well as collaborations with leading museums around the world, the AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs to approximately 1 million visitors annually.

We are currently seeking an Occasional Part-Time Cook 2, Outlets to join our Food & Beverage team. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Culinary Operations, the incumbent will participate in all food preparation, set up, service and break down of lunch, brunch or dinner shifts as scheduled.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • A few year’s experience at a high quality, volume, and hospitality or retail operation.
  • Understanding of contemporary creative cuisine.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food handling and advanced cooking techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle all kitchen equipment, and demonstrate safe handling to others
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food handling, safety and sanitation standards.
  • Teamwork, time management, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural difference, sensitivity, awareness and lived experience
