TEMPORARY FULL-TIME (Up to 40 hours per week; 2-week rotation late Wednesday or Friday, Either Saturday or Sunday)

Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario (“the AGO”) is one of the largest art museums in North America, with a collection of close to 100,000 works. Through the collection as well as collaborations with leading museums around the world, the AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs to approximately 1 million visitors annually.
We are currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time, Protection Services Officer to join our Protection Services team. Under the direction of the Protection Service Director or Duty Manager, the incumbent will monitor entrances, galleries, visitors and the physical plant to ensure the safety of the collection, visitors, staff and physical plant is maintained. Ensures all security procedures, health and safety policies, and appropriate legislative laws are followed. Provides first response to all Emergency situations.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Well developed customer service skills.
- Directly related experience and advanced knowledge of security practices and procedures.
- Well developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
