We are currently seeking a Regular Full-Time Senior Finance & Data Analyst to join our Finance team. Under the direction of the Director, Financial Services, the incumbent will strengthen organizational performance through the accurate and strategic use of financial and operational data. This role combines analytical capability, financial expertise, and systems knowledge to support budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, reporting, dashboards, and project analysis. The Analyst works collaboratively across departments to generate insights that guide strategic planning, improve decision-making, and ensure data integrity across financial and operational systems.

 

What is this position responsible for?

 

  • Provide financial and data support to departments, helping interpret reports, identify trends, understand variances, and address performance issues. Optimize and reconcile data interfaces across CRM, HCM, general ledger, FP&A and POS systems. Ensure integrity, consistency, and reliability of cross-system data.
  • Build dashboards and operational reports for executive and departmental leadership. Manage confidential materials, drafting reports, briefing notes, and presentations. Present data clearly for different audiences (finance, operations, board, committees, auditors).
  • Support preparation of financial statements, schedules, and internal reports. Develop user-friendly spreadsheet models that highlight relevant costs, drivers,  and variables. Provide clear documentation and guidance to management users.
  • Assist in reporting for investments and all other activities information required for Board and Committee meetings.              
  • Provide project accounting and reporting for various initiatives
  • Prepares financial analysis as directed by the CFOO such as tracking of utilities rates and consumption, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.

 

 

 

 

  • General Accounting duties as needed including monthly reconciliations, journal entries, invoice processing and audit support             
  • Performs other duties assigned, including general office administration as needed

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related field.  Enrollment in CPA (or progress toward completion) preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar analytical roles.
  • Experience with nonprofit, charitable, or public-sector accounting is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced level).
  • Experience with ERP systems; Workday and Adaptive Planning experience in finance, HCM, or operations is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with databases, data governance principles, and integration of multi-system data (e.g., CRM, POS, G/L).
  • Experience with dashboard or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication,
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
