We are currently seeking a Receiver, Inventory Control to join our Retail team. Under the direction of the Assistant Operations Manager, Retail the incumbent will transport inbound and outbound retail shipments to and from the AGO shipping dock and retail logistics processing area. They are responsible for unpacking and verifying all retail product deliveries and shipments. They will pick and pack retail merchandise and prepare shipping documents for customer orders. Delivery prepares retail products to the sales floor for merchandising and returns excess product to bin locations in the retail stockroom. They will maintain the physical condition of the retail stockroom, shipping dock and logistics processing areas in a safe and organized manner.
 
The rate of pay for this position is $21.91 - $27.35 per hour.
 
What is this position responsible for?
  • Prepares inbound retail merchandise by retrieving inbound merchandise shipments from the AGO shipping dock to retail processing, unloading shipments, unpacking boxes, applying price stickers, verifying packing slips against actual items and purchase orders, completing all preparations for displaying merchandise on the sales floor (e.g. shrink-wrapping), and affixing security tags as required.           
  • Conducts quality control inspections of inbound shipments by filling out supplied quality control forms. Identifies and reports quality control issues, damaged products and discrepancies between merchandise shipment documents and purchase order receipts to the Inventory Control Processor.   
  • Completes all physical merchandise packing, online shipping documentation and delivery to shipping dock for returns-to-vendor. Picks, packs, and prepares online shipping documents and delivery to shipping dock for orders to wholesale, corporate and ecommerce customers; ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety of products at all steps of the process. 
  • Picks merchandise restock lists from the retail stockroom bin locations; delivers to the appropriate retail sales floor locations and sales personnel for stock merchandising and replenishment. Retrieves excess stock from the sales floor and returns to stockroom bin locations. Picks special merchandise orders from the stockroom and processing area and delivers to the retail sales floor as required.              
  • Maintains the retail stock sections of the shipping dock, stockroom and logistics processing room in a neat, clean and well-organized condition in order to: minimize shrinkage, retrieve merchandise, prevent safety hazards and potential damages to merchandise. Ensures stockroom and logistics processing staff access protocols are followed. 
 
What are we looking for?
  • At least 1 year experience in a warehouse or retail stockroom setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic retail math skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to use applicable computer software.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow safe work practices at all times.
  • Ability to lift 30 kilograms on an on-going basis.
  • Ability to operate a pump truck.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good reading and written communications skills.
