Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest art museums in North America, attracting approximately one million visitors annually. The AGO Collection of more than 120,000 works of art ranges from cutting-edge contemporary art to significant works by Indigenous and Canadian artists and European masterpieces.
 
We are currently seeking a Manager, Workday Systems to join our Information Technology team. Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology, the incumbent will provide support for our financial systems. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with various functional teams, technical teams and business users to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and test changes to existing and new integrations. The Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining quality and consistency of the Financial and HR data; ensuring documented procedures for change management and data handling are consistently followed. This individual will provide technical support to Finance and other AGO staff as required. This role involves directly working with the Director, Information Technology to develop and implement technology strategies.
 
The salary for this position is $84,648 - $105,778 per annum.
 
What is this position responsible for?
  • Provides Workday subject matter expertise for both initial implementation and day-to-day support including business process configuration, data upload, testing, troubleshooting and support. Designs, builds, implements, maintains and enhances Workday integrations, leading initiatives across other departments and organization
  • Design, develop and deploy customized reporting solutions that meet Finance requirements using Workday’s report writing tools as well as other tools and available technologies. Run, schedule and/or distribute reports to support assigned functional areas (automating wherever possible).
  • Maintain Workday dashboards, BI and analytics to support Finance and HR data driven decision making. Develop data models, data dictionaries, and data mappings to ensure consistency and integrity of data across different systems and processes.
  • Conduct training sessions to empower end-users to utilize Workday functionalities effectively. Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, issue logs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Finance Department and key stake holders to improve workflow efficiency and transactional experiences. Plan and scope future needs to support the business in collaboration with the Director, Information Technology.
  • Responsible for major Workday upgrade releases by researching new functionality, testing, implementation and assisting with change management.
  • Performs group data/bulk updates, exports, imports, data clean-ups, and research/report, provides corrective action on any data discrepancies.
What are we looking for?
  • A minimum of  2-5 years of directly related experience working with Workday, with a focus on configuration, support, and administration.
  • Proficiency in Workday modules such as Financial Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Budgeting, HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, Reporting, etc.
  • Workday Pro Certification in Financials Reporting and Reporting (HCM) is considered an asset. At minimum Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields certificate required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  •  Proficient working knowledge of spreadsheet solutions, web services, query languages or other languages for data analysis
  • Experience supporting mission critical systems 24x7x365 including rotational on-call for after-hour and weekend support.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skill, and proven experience interacting and influencing colleagues across various functions and levels of the organization.
  • Well-developed time management skills, and ability to prioritize across multiple project teams.
