We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist with a strong understanding of benefits administration. If you are a natural problem solver, service minded, analytical and can collaborate on improving the overall employee experience this is the right opportunity for you. As a Human Resource Generalist, you will juggle multiple assignments simultaneously including benefits administration, communication, compensation, and employee support. You will be the first point of contact for new hires, create employee benefits communications, assist employees with leaves, and collaborate on HR projects. Our ideal candidate is confident in speaking with employees – educating and sharing information and collaborating with the HR team to ensure strong HR service delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Enrollment and Eligibility: Manage employee benefits enrollment processes, including new hire enrollment, open enrollment, and qualifying life events. Verify employee eligibility for benefit programs and communicate eligibility criteria to employees.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, COBRA, EAP, 401(k), HSA, FSA, Tuition Reimbursement, Service Awards, Retirement Awards, and more.
- Benefit Education and Training: Create and disseminate employee education on benefit plans, including presentations and spotlight communications. Develop and update benefits-related materials, including handbooks, brochures, and online resources.
- Employee Leaves and Compliance: Administer and ensure compliance with various leaves and other regulations, such as FMLA, Workers Compensation, OSHA, HIPAA and other applicable requirements. Communicate the process to employees, confirm eligibility, coordinate with vendors, and communicate status updates as needed.
- Plan Design and Implementation: Collaborate with management and HR team to develop and design benefit plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Coordinate the implementation of new benefit programs and changes to existing plans.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with benefit plan providers, insurance brokers, and other vendors to ensure smooth administration of benefits programs. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations to optimize services and costs.
- Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for employees regarding inquiries, issues, and benefit claims. Assist employees with resolving problems, answering questions, and providing guidance on benefit programs and HR policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline HR administration tasks. Recommend and implement enhancements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Annual HR Initiatives: Create annual Merit Letters and Bonus communications. Oversee the annual policy review and update the intranet.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as required.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & WHY YOU’RE A GREAT FIT FOR THE ROLE:
- 3+ years of Human Resource and Benefits Administration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
