ActioNet has an opportunity for a Part Time Network Engineer  requiring a Top Secret located in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for  the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet and JWICS networks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support IP data networking and all aspects of network security and possess working knowledge of the following operating systems and applications: Linux, Microsoft, Cisco Internet Operating system (IOS), firewalls, data packet routing, switching, proxy services, and engineering for IP data networks, VPNs, and IPSEC.

  • Configure network equipment and subsystems

  • Perform testing, network troubleshooting and resolution

  • Develop and recommend inputs to technical documentation to include engineering change requests, network diagrams, test procedures, installation instructions, and  technical directives

  • Collaborate with Cyber Security professionals to assess the network’s compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • Virtual machines (VM)- Virtualizing OS, Network, Storage Area Network (SAN), and security devices

  • Microsoft Enterprise products and tools interrelate in order to ensure NetOps capability integration

  • Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio

  • Excellent technical writing, critical thinking/analytical, oral and written communication skills

  • Resolve complex network problems to ensure interoperability of voice, video, and data services across multiple platforms

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance

  • Current DoD 8570 compliance – minimum CompTIA Security+ CE certification

  • Current Cisco CCNA

  • Experience with NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and Type 1 encryption devices

  • Demonstrated experience with local area and wide area networks providing voice, video, and data services; DMVPN, IPsec EIGRP, QoS, NAC, wired VoIP, wireless VoIP, and VoSIP; VLANs; IPv4 addressing and subnetting; firewalls, routers, switches, and IP accelerators

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
