Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Mid-Level Applications Developer requiring a Public Trust located in Washington DC. The position is Fully Remote US based. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting systems that support over 9,000 users using a variety of technologies.

Your Role:

  • Perform prototype web development for display in Chrome-based and Microsoft Edge browsers.
  • Write scripts using SQL, JavaScript, and or Perl.
  • Assist in resolving system issues/problems associated with server hardware, the operating system, and all programming languages used for ad-hoc reporting.
  • Assist with requirements identification and specification for new hardware and software.
  • Support development and maintenance of related database systems
  • Support program, database, system, and hardware modifications and upgrades for both servers and Windows-based laptops/desktops.
  • Provide administrative assistance with ad-hoc reporting; prepare SDLC documentation as requested for new IT functionality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to obtain a US Public Trust Clearance
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 2 years related technical experience, with software and systems development and support.
  • 2 years experience with tools/technologies such as Oracle, SQL, Perl, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with Oracle/Linux.
  • Working on complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Acting independently to expose and resolve problems.
  • Some experience with Prototype Web Development in Chrome and Edge Browsers
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team.

 

Nice to Have’s:

  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Experience with Rally or similar software.
  • Experience with any of the following: Angular, ASPX, Bootstrap, Java, Knockout, JSON, XHTML, and XSL/XSLT.
