Description

ActioNet has an opportunity for a Senior UI/UX Design Specialist requiring a Public Trust clearance in the Washington D.C. metro area. You will play a multifaceted role in creating user-centered, diverse user experiences by combining insights, business needs, research, and technology.  We are looking for a creative, talented, innovative, and dynamic individual who understands the necessity of user-centric designs and can create engaging, creative solutions representing large amounts of data on various platforms and applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Lead client engagements with their User Experience (UX) and Visual Design needs and provide innovative Human-Centered Design (HCD) solutions for developing and implementing digital products.

·       Support the client's product vision by researching, coming up with ideas, drawing, testing prototypes, and conducting user testing for digital products.

·       Assist in the creation of best practices and UI/UX design standards

·       Strategically work together with cross-functional teams to provide innovative, customer-focused experiences

Basic Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or related field

·       Strong portfolio of work, demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions and patterns

·       Minimum of five (5) years of experience in leading a front-end application-based team with five (5) or more developers

·       Solid experience using Figma (Mocks, Prototyping, Specs, Components) and full development life cycle with JavaScript using Vue.js framework.

·       Demonstrated ability to plan and implement in GitLab/GitHub, npm, ag-grid, mapbox, and other modem tools for development.

·       Demonstrated experience in full development life cycle coding standards and best practices for quality assurance.

·       Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research), creating personas, journey maps.

·       Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of considerable scope and complexity to include Design Systems, Visual Design, and Design Thinking

·       Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex technical concepts.

·       Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

·       Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality.

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

·       Certification in UI/UX Design

This role requires an adaptable and detail-oriented professional who can perform multiple critical functions in the Human-Centered Design (HCD) development process.
