Description
As part of Absolute’s Cloud Engineering & Hosting Operations teams you will be joining our new core infrastructure and cloud initiatives. Our team is building the foundation for the next generation of the company services on top of Kubernetes and AWS. This is a global high throughput set of services that process data for hundreds of millions of devices per day. You will be part of architecting the core application stack for throughput and resilience at Absolute.

- Solve challenges of scalability, efficiency and security at scale in cloud environments
- Building high availability, high resilience networks and infrastructure
- Security best practices through continuous monitoring, architecture, networking, and automation
Responsibilities:
- Help maintain and administer secure and scalable networks in cloud environments
- Work with security team in review, triage, and assessment and remediation of security scan results
- Troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement of the cloud server environments
- Ensure all systems are patched up to date by working with development and security and other operations staff
- On-call for production systems
- Writing and maintaining our operations documentation
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar role
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Some Windows administration skills an asset
- AWS experience
- Experience with infrastructure automation tooling
- Good written documentation skills
- Experience with standard development tools and workflows with Git
- Experience with scripting such as in Bash or with Python
The US base pay range for this position is from USD $70,000 - $85,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program.
The Canada base pay range for this position is from CAD $80,000 -$90,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program.
