Training Manager
 
Overview:   
Oversees the day-to-day functions of the Training department which includes the classroom, behind the wheel and cadet trainers.  Ensures all new drivers and staff receive required MTA and Transdev regulated training. 
Starting Salary:85,000
 
Major Responsibilities:  
  • Plan, assess and evaluate the Contractor’s training program.
  • Manage the performance of the training to ensure the effective and responsive delivery of services.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate technical operations training for all levels of staff.
  • Provide staff training to support their competency in areas that are critical to the organization.
  • Equip staff with the required skills to achieve the MDOT MTA’s quality and customer service goals.
  • Provide broad scope review, analysis and assessment of Mobility policies, procedures, programs and organization structure and alignment in terms of effectiveness, quality of service and best practices.
  • Assess and identify opportunities to improve current training programs.
  • Develop and implement an effective tracking system for training and delivery completion.
 
Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or similar discipline (A high school diploma and 4 years of training program administration experience may be substituted on a year for year basis).
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development, administration, and/or implementation of large-scale training programs.
  • Must have experience in transit/mobility paratransit operations training.
  • Must have at least 3 years in middle management or higher-level capacity.
  • Must have experience leading and ensuring a qualified and well-trained workforce.
