The Senior Operations Manager is the operational leader for Torrid’s retail and eCommerce distribution facility shipping over 7.5M B2B and B2C packages on an annual basis.  In this role, you will lead a team of 5 Operations Managers spanning a two-shift operation operating 7 days a week. Your focus will be on driving service and cost performance that align to company goals and objectives.  You will also participate in the strategic planning and budgeting process to enable facility and operational innovation opportunities, set key performance metrics, and define mid- and long-term distribution network planning.

What You’ll Do:

·         Manage the day-to-day facility operations including:

o    Maintain a safe and clean facility for all employees.

o    Track and manage areas to meet and/or exceed service levels and cost budgets.

o    Proactively identify areas of risk, improvement, and good performance.

o    Provide insights and solutions and enable problem solving to improve service performance, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

o    Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews to review performance and highlight areas for improvement.

o    Plan and execute staffing plans based on volume, service, and cost parameters.

·         Maximize efficiency of facility and operations through the introduction of innovation and process improvement.

·         Leverage experience and utilize business acumen to make assessments of the business and take action to achieve results.  

·         Drive accuracy, throughput, customer service metrics as well as other KPI’s identified.

·         Maintain inventory control and support reduced inventory shrink initiatives.

·         Execute innovative and prompt decision-making to achieve improvements to operations through relevant market or customer insights and by listening to associates.

  • Partner with Supply Chain VP in striving to continuously improve overall facility operations Collaborate, support, and communicate priorities within direct areas of responsibility and facility. Make changes as necessary to achieve objectives daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.
  • Partner with Engineering to appropriately establish work methods and metrics to most efficiently measure and complete tasks.   
  • Provide coaching and development support including training, coaching and identification of stretch assignments to direct reports, exempt and non-exempt associates.
  • Build and foster positive, collaborative, and open relationships within functional area peer groups, and other functional areas of HR, LP, IT, and Maintenance.
  • Builds relationships based upon integrity, trust, and mutual respect based on approachable, accessible, and open communications with all associates.
  • Support a work environment that is fair and consistent.
  • Ensure effective communications—up, down and across the business.
  •  Participate in and support all company provided training initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:  

·      BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or demonstrated equivalent.

·      10 + years of successful progressive management experience in distribution environment preferred

·      Apparel, or retail merchandising industry experience and understanding preferred.

·      WMS Experience (Koerber High Jump preferred)

·      WES Experience (COFE preferred)

·      While this is a Monday through Friday position, must be able to be flexible with schedule rotation based on business needs.
