Junior Strategy Manager 

Job Description
Havas Sports and Entertainment (HSE) is looking for a Junior Strategy Manager with a strategic planning background and a passion for sports & entertainment marketing.

The Strategy Team is responsible for building effective strategies for our clients that detail where to play and how to win. You will work with our talented group of professionals – conducting research, uncovering trends and insights, and developing creative briefs – ultimately supporting the team in developing experiential, content or partnership strategies in sports and entertainment.

You have your finger on the pulse and have a solid understanding of the tools and resources that help us find data and information about what people think, say, share and do. More importantly, you can translate information into a compelling narrative and presentation that inspires great campaign ideas and excite our clients.

HSE is not your traditional agency. We aim to augment consumer passions through thoughtful, insight led strategies that fuel authentic partnerships, amplified by imaginative experiences and engaging content. We are fans ourselves, and are seeking someone who is also passionate about living the moments our consumers love.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research – Know where to look and what to look for by understanding the client’s problem and where to find the answers. Use primary and secondary research tools to gather research and data. Excel wizard.
  • Uncovering insights – Turn complex data into interesting, actionable insights that will inspire innovative creative ideas. Can include competitive landscaping, analyzing consumer behavior, and identifying unique brand opportunities.
  • Brief facilitation – Understand client goals and objectives of an assignment and ask the right questions in order to uncover insights and develop strong creative briefs.
  • Storytelling – Use actionable insights to build a compelling strategic narrative that serves as the, foundation inspiration and rationale for creative concepts and ideas
  • Collaboration – Work with creative teams to concept, refine and optimize ideas, ensuring they align with the brand strategic direction and will deliver on client objectives.
  • Measurement - Work with strategy team to charter measurement framework for client programs.
  • Industry knowledge & expertise – Stay in the know with what’s going on in a variety of industries – from fashion and pop-culture to tech and telecoms. Understand how brands are using sectors across sports and entertainment properties and events to connect with consumers.

  • Multi-Tasker: Can effectively deliver high quality, timely work while managing multiple assignments in a fast-faced environment.
  • Creative: Can think creatively and explore new and innovative ways to solve client problems. Gets involved in every brainstorming session they can and always has a notebook on hand!
  • Organized: Can established an agreed course of action for deliverables and can prioritize assignments. Is always on top of their to-do list! 


  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, research, analytics and insights
  • Bachelors' Degree required
  • Previous experience at a creative agency in a strategic planning or relevant work in sports and entertainment is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Keynote.
  • Previous experience with syndicated data tools (MRI), social listening tools, influencer marketing platforms is a plus
