The role of maintenance includes that of an Industrial Manufacturing environment. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment within the facility is maintained according to the OEM’s standards and company policies and procedures to ensure production and quality is maintained. This person will also work with all phases of maintenance related duties and plant operations. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, steel-toed work boots, hearing protection, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

  1. Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent work knowledge and experience to perform the functions of the job.
    • Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills required.
    • Be able and available to work extended hours when situations arise such as emergency breakdowns and scheduled outages.
    • Manuel dexterity required for operating hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
    • Experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, welding, torch cutting is preferred or a combination of skills to perform the duties.
  1. Responsibilities:
    • Initiates, implements, and assist Maintenance Manager in the plant maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
    • Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
    • Ensures operation of machinery, equipment, replacing and repairing parts, work on conveyor systems, use of cranes and hoists.
    • Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
    • Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
    • Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
    • Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and practices good housekeeping ethics.
    • Other duties as assigned.
