JOB SUMMARY

 

The Solid Surface Sales Representative will provide leadership and oversight for all sales and marketing functions for Durcon FAB market growth operations.  Assure that all solid surface sales and marketing initiatives are managed and executed effectively and timely.  Work with and support Durcon Regional Sales Managers & Architectural Specs Manager with product expertise, sales and project tracking.  Position will develop new market opportunities, expand customer base as well as identify market influences and guide business growth.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                          

 

 

·        Effectively manage time and resources to ensure personal and company sales targets are attained

·        Forecast sales and develop sales strategies and models 

·        Create awareness and demand within the A&D & General Contracting community

·        Research and generate new accounts and follow through on sales leads  

·        Develop and maintain strong relationships with market influencers to expand our product and market knowledge

·        Act as liaison between corporate initiatives and the field to ensure best & consistent practices are followed

·        Document activities in CRM on a deliberate and consistent cadence

·        Provide leadership, collaboration, knowledge & expertise to Durcon FAB staff relative to prevailing market conditions

·        Maintain knowledge of complete Durcon product line

·        Keep abreast of the latest industry developments by attending sales meetings, industry events, training sessions and individual research

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES                                                                                                                        

 

·        Track record of over-achieving sales quotas

·        Experience within the solid surface industry and corresponding products

·        Experience working with a CRM and pipeline management

·        Computer use proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

·        Experience with sales and marketing principles, material handling, specification sales & channel sales 

·        Knowledge of industry standards applicable to the product and other pertinent rules/regulations governing material standards

·        Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities

·       Ability to travel

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS                                                                                                                        

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing or a closely related field. 

Applicable experience may be substituted for education requirements. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years

 

Proven field sales experience may preclude requirement for an undergraduate degree

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS                                                                                                                            

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20-50 lbs.)

 

ENVIRONMENT:

Requires travel to customer offices and their fabrication facilities which may include occasional exposure to dust and fumes consistent within the solid surface fabrication market
