Description

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Acts as the primary contact for all building issues including climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damages, emergencies and repairs
  • Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities as needed
  • Makes minor plumbing repairs as necessary
  • Perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned including office/cubicle partitions and relocations, painting, carpentry, furniture and appliance installation and dismantles
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
  • Repairs locks, hangs pictures and shelving and other miscellaneous duties, as needed
  • Transports goods or equipment as assigned
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Qualifications/Requirements: 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans
  • Demonstrated knowledgeable of plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs
  • HVAC EPA Universal certified
  • Microsoft office knowledge
  • Experience in painting, wall repairs, concrete repairs
  • Welding skills preferred
Educational/Training/Experience: 
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 2 years’ experience with office building maintenance (painting, minor plumbing, etc.)
  • Valid Driver License and clean driving record with TxDMV
Physical Requirements: 
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl in confined spaces and work in outdoor climate
  • Ability to wear personal protection equipment
