Financial Analyst                                                    



  • Support design and implementation of OMB A-123 requirements related to Internal Control over Financial Reporting for a Department of Defense Tier 4 Reporting Entity using the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) ERP.
  • Facilitate walkthroughs with process owners to document end-to-end financial processes.
  • Perform testing over the design and operating effectiveness of financial internal controls, Complimentary User Entity Controls (CUECs), and Entity Level Controls (ELCs).
  • Develop corrective action plans to mitigate deficiencies identified through internal testing.
  • Coordinate with Reporting Entity Service Providers to implement a comprehensive internal control framework.
  • Perform financial reconciliations and datamining.
  • Provide support during annual audits by retrieving and consolidating required documentation to respond to Provided-by-Client (PBC) requests.


Minimum Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • 5+ years of audit (FIAR) experience in the DoD related to implementing requirements for a Reporting Entity in a DAI environment
  • Strong understanding of Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Federal Government and Department of Defense operations, end-to-end business processes, and objectives
  • Subject matter expertise in OMB Circular A-123 and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) guidance
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional presence is required.
  • All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and be able to pass a Federal background investigation.


Preferred Skills

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Expertise in DoD Financial Management and U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
