Position: Audit Readiness Consultant

Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking an Audit Readiness Consultant. This position will be responsible for Test Controls and assisting with the development of the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) and Internal Controls over Financial Systems (ICOFS) Statement of Assurances. Auditor will prepare process and systems documentation to include narratives, flowcharts, risk assessments, and internal control worksheets. Develop test plans with test results including source location, policy and control and activities surrounding document retention.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years’ DoD audit readiness experience.
  • Strong understanding of the FIAR guidance.
  • NACLC or position of Public Trust.
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional presence is required.
  • All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and be able to pass a Federal background investigation.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA, CDFM and/or CISA certification
  • Familiar with Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) and/or property accounting (PP&E).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
  • Past experience working for a Federal Agency.
