Overview:
The Ticket Operations Manager will be an energetic ticketing professional that will be charged with the implementation and execution of ticket operations for the Durham Bulls and Durham Bulls Athletic Park events. The main focus will be ensuring the ticketing system is functioning in regards to department and box office needs for events, tickets, access control, online features, reporting.
In addition, the Ticket Operations Manager will oversee the box office and related seasonal staffing for all ticket operations and oversite of picnic areas and ticketed areas in the ballpark. This position will possess complete working knowledge of the industry standards and will be forward-thinking and open-minded.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all facets of the Ticket Operations Department.
- Process all baseball and non-baseball related events requests and payments.
- Oversee and manage the building of all game events, offers, ticket inventory, collection of ticket revenue and processing / fulfillment of tickets.
- Monitor the daily operations and functionality for the day-to-day management of the ticketing system.
- Set up and review the inventory of events while distributing and managing holds
- Manage the invoice and ticket templates in the ticketing system.
- Manage requests for customer and event data for sales, marketing, events, and other departments
- Subject Matter Expert for all Ticket Operations applications, create internal and external facing how-to guides, update the guides as critical functionality changes, provide education training courses and quick hit communication updates as necessary. Educate the customer and create guides for online download and handouts.
- Act as the ticketing operations liaison between departments to ensure success and education of the ticketing system abilities with regards to other department needs
- Assist with game day responsibilities including managing a box office, in-person customer service, phone inquiries and seat relocations.
- Staff, manage, direct, evaluate, and provide leadership to part-time staff and box office personnel
- Administrative duties such as filing, fulfillment of orders and organizational duties.
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with all levels of ballpark staff and clients.
- Maintain elevated level of service and professionalism with all customer interactions.
- Perform additional ticket operations duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience with Ticket Operations
- Expert experience in ticketing systems preferred.
- Maintain elevated level of service and professionalism with all customer interactions.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- People oriented, able to multi-task, be organized, motivated and detail focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and all events.
