WRAZ-TV/FOX50 is seeking a Part-Time TV Broadcast Operator.  

This person will perform master control and video file transfer duties in a multi-channel, multi-format, technically innovative, and news – intensive environment.    

Duties:  

• This individual will also perform duties in the areas of satellite dish uplink/downlink set-up, and other visual and aural associated duties.  
• Maintain the quality and integrity of microwave, satellite, fiber-optic and broadcast signals.
• Coordinate live shots during newscasts.
• Switch local and network programming.
• Record local and satellite feed materials.
• Communicate with other departments throughout the station. 

Requirements:  

• Knowledge of, and ability to manage, isci codes as well as the capability to log, key.
• Managing numbers/letter sequences are essential.  
• Must be knowledgeable of Windows based platforms, have computer automation experience and be able to read digital vector scopes; understand transmitter power, satellite transmission/receiver operations.
• Practical, quick decision-making abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for personal growth are required.
• Must be able to work first, second and third shift as needed.  
• This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.  
• A college degree or equivalent related experience at a commercial television station with emphasis in the areas of master control, quality control, and production preferred.
