POSITION: CATERING TECHNICIAN

CLASSIFICATION CODE: NON-EXEMPT FULL TIME

DEPARTMENT: LIVING WITH PURPOSE

REPORTS TO: LIVING WITH PURPOSE CATERING SITE SUPERVISOR

Statement of Job: The Catering Technician is responsible for providing catering support for agency-sponsored events, both on and off the ABHS campus, while ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy working environment. In the Living With Purpose program, the Catering Technician assists with employment support services, which include oversight, guidance, transportation, and other related services to promote client independence and retention. This role involves setting up and maintaining equipment, ensuring food safety standards, managing food delivery logistics, and assisting with food preparation. The Technician prioritizes smooth event execution and client satisfaction within a catering company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to provide food catering services for Apache Behavioral Health Services and to be moderately physically healthy and be able to stay on his/her feet for hours each day as well as bend, climb, lift, and move objects.

1. Provide employment support services to increase occupation skills development and workforce retention.

2. In collaboration with the Catering Site Supervisor, provide individualized occupational support guidance on such topics as time management, teamwork, goal setting, work ethic and professional behavior.

3. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.

4. Work with Living With Purpose Site Supervisors, Case Managers, Clinicians and Program Manager to assist with the coordination, scheduling, outreach, and promotion of the Living With Purpose catering project offerings.

5. Aid oversight of catering project sites to monitor attendance, ensure a physically and emotionally safe work environment and timely project completion.

6. Assist with maintenance of inventory of supplies and equipment. Assist with submission of requests for order or purchase of necessary supplies or equipment to Program Manager.

7. Responsible for cleaning, as associated with maintenance and upkeep of kitchen/catering area, to include disposal of garbage properly.

8. Clean and sanitize kitchen area.

9. Maintain accurate records, develop reports and documents as requested.

10. Abide by all applicable policies, procedures, and program standards of ABHS, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Indian Health Services, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and other pertinent regulatory authorities.

11. Maintain ethical policies and guidelines as outlined in accepted State ethics laws, rules, policies, and principles and as outlined in discipline-specific code of ethics.

12. Provide a positive role model to staff through leadership, self-discipline, and genuine care for the treatment and recovery of clients. All staff members must be treated with dignity and respect. 13. Participation in all required ABHS training.

14. Reports/attends work in a timely manner. Must be reliable and communicate directly with supervisor in all matters of attendance.

15. Commitment to delivering excellent service and addressing client concerns.
