Zymeworks is seeking a highly motivated Talent Sourcing Recruiter who is looking to grow their career with our company. As a member of our team, this individual works closely with our Recruiters and hiring managers to develop strategies to find passive candidates. We conceive practical and creative ways to surface leading talent.

This position will report to Senior Director, Talent Acquisition and will be located in either Seattle, WA or Vancouver, BC.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand the position's technical requirements and develop and execute tactical sourcing strategies, aimed at generating candidate flow to meet overall recruiting goals.
  • Identify potential candidates using creative sourcing methods, beyond LinkedIn Recruiter, including Boolean, x-ray searching, competitive mapping, etc.
  • Utilize our tools to provide talent market insights and data to influence decisions.
  • Recommend and drive improvements that impact talent pipelines.
  • Integrate diversity sourcing strategies into candidate development strategies.
  • Identify a diverse slate of candidates for each search.
  • Call, screen and qualify candidates.
  • Promote exceptional candidate experience throughout the interview process.
  • Understand different Business functions and how they fit into the overall company - be able to educate external talent about different area's within Zymeworks.
  • Partner with TA leader to develop sourcing strategy and establish sourcing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years recruiting or sourcing experience for a search firm and/or in-house talent acquisition team in biotechnology and/or life science industries.
  • Experience using sourcing tools and applicant tracking systems to identify and engage passive, qualified candidates and manage them through the hiring process.
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing methodologies and tools. Experience utilizing Boolean search strings across multiple channels.
  • Ability to think out of the box to come up with sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze market and hiring data to constantly revamp sourcing methods.
  • Exceptional interviewing, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen to be able to comprehend business needs and structure.
  • Prioritize multiple functions, tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast paced, changing work environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, business partners and candidates.
  • Team player and positive attitudes are a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to multitask, strong attention to detail and be able to work autonomously.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion.
  • Must have work authorization in United States.
