Zymeworks is seeking a highly-motivated professional who is looking to grow their career with our company. 

This position will report to the Associate Director, Statistical Programming, and will be based in Seattle, WA, Vancouver, BC, or remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programs Non-System Edit Checks, Data Listings, and Patient Profiles in SAS.
  • Independently develops complex SAS programs to support activities such as data review, data reconciliation, and reporting
  • Develops and maintains a library of Non-System Edit Checks to ensure consistency across programs and studies
  • Develops and maintains standard SAS macros, templates, and programming standards for biometrics department
  • Develops and maintains SAS program specifications
  • Trains Clinical Data Managers on how to run SAS programs, review SAS logs, and generate output
  • Works with Clinical Data Managers and other study team members to develop new and/or improve existing data review tools
  • Coordinates with Clinical Data Managers to ensure all SAS programs are working as expected and are kept up-to-date to reflect ongoing changes to clinical study databases
  • Independently manages SAS processes and applications while evaluating for improvements
  • Contributes to the development, review and implementation of SOPs, templates and processes and other departmental and/or cross functional initiatives 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors or higher in computer science or a health-related field
  • 5-10 years of SAS programming experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with clinical databases, electronic data capture systems, quality control processes and auditing procedures
  • Familiarity with GCP, ICH and FDA requirements as they apply to clinical data
  • Strong technical skills (EDC systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (CDISC, SDTM, CDASH)
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.

  • Self-motivated, eagerness to grow professionally and commitment to self-development.
