 About the Position 

Support the day-to-day operations from initiation through execution and any amendments to close out of vendor and site agreements at Zymeworks.

This role will report to Manager, Clinical Site Contracts and Budgets and will be based in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports vendor and clinical study site contract negotiation, execution and amendment activities for multiple clinical development programs
  • Ensures site and vendor contracts are completed accurately, consistently and in a timely manner
  • Assist with input of contracts and budget statuses into a contract tracker and spot check entries for accuracy and completeness
  • Assists in the development of spreadsheets and tracking tools
  • Assists in submission and management of purchase orders
  • Assists in reviewing and processing invoices for clinical studies
  • Supports the contract life cycle management process related to vendor, investigative sites, and collaborative agreements
  • Supports the study teams in the management of day-to-day activities related to clinical contracts and finance
  • Assists in establishing departmental and cross-functional policies and procedures, and associated documentation
  • Interact with the clinical teams, finance, legal and other departments as needed
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clinical research functions

Qualifications and Experience 

  • BA/BS or equivalent or any relevant and qualifying training with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant clinical operations, contracts and/or pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant contracts and budget experience preferred
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment. Results-oriented.
  • Proficiency in common office technology (e.g. Microsoft Offices Tools)
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Completes tasks and projects under minimal to no supervision
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and details-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
