ZoomCare is seeking a Clinical Coding Supervisor to join our team! The Clinical Coding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing coding operations for medical services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement while supervising a team of coding specialists. This position is responsible for maintaining coding quality standards, implementing best practices, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements in a professional services environment.

- Supervise and mentor a team of clinical coders, including performance management, workflow distribution, and professional development
- Ensure accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 code assignment for professional medical services
- Monitor compliance with Center of Medicare and Medicaid, AMA, and commercial payer guidelines
- Conduct regular audits of coding accuracy and provide feedback to team members
- Identify coding trends and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Serve as the subject matter expert on complex coding scenarios, documentation requirements, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify documentation and optimize code selection
- Develop and maintain coding policies, procedures, and educational materials
- Generate and analyze coding productivity and quality metrics
- Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
- Participate in revenue cycle management initiatives to improve financial performance
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of medical coding experience, with a focus on Medicare billing in a professional services setting.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a healthcare or revenue cycle environment preferred.
- Current medical coding certification required through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CCS, CCS-P, CPC); RHIT or RHIA credentials strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding systems, with demonstrated expertise in professional coding practices.
- Strong understanding of Medicare billing guidelines, documentation standards, and compliance regulations, including NCCI edits and LCD/NCD policies.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software; experience with platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or 3M preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and coding accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams, deliver training, and collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
- Other Compensation: May be eligible for other compensation such as bonuses
