ZoomCare is seeking Senior Communications Specialist to join our team! The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to drive ZoomCare business outcomes. They will work closely with the Director of Communications to create and implement media relations strategies that include story ideas and outlet targets to drive ZoomCare’s business outcomes. The Senior Communications Specialist will also write, edit, and manage content for the employee intranet, email, newsletters, and other internal communications.

- In partnership with the Director of Communications, develop comprehensive communications, media relations, and content strategies that resonate with the target audience and support the company’s objectives.
- Work closely with the Director of Communications to create and implement media relations strategies that include story ideas and outlet targets, delivering coverage that ultimately drives ZoomCare’s business outcomes.
- Develop data-driven reports and publishing programs to drive earned media and backlinks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant journalists, including responding to journalist inquiries and managing stories in progress.
- Assist with internal and external communication planning and execution for crisis and emergency preparedness efforts.
- Write, edit, and proofread communications content for internal and external communications requests including validating information with the appropriate subject matter experts; creating, updating, and managing graphics and other visual assets for company communications; and scheduling and/or distributing content by deadlines.
- Create, publish, and manage assigned ongoing internal newsletter digests and ongoing communications.
- Collaborate with ZoomCare marketing and patient experience teams to integrate earned media with social media, content marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO), especially link-building.
- Work closely with the Director of Communications to set goals, track, and report on internal and external communications campaign results.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, required.
- 3+ years experience in media relations, public relations, communications, or closely-related roles, with proven earned media placement results.
- A proven track record of securing media placements and journalist relationships.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excels at working quickly under pressure and managing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and resilience when plans change.
- Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and good judgment.
- Ability to perform quality work that is thorough, complete and accurate.
- Proficient in Adobe, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack or related software and an ability to quickly learn new technology systems.
- Experience with a content management system is strongly preferred.

- Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
