Position Overview:
We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You may mentor a team of engineers, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. A strong interest in security and data protection is advantageous.
What you’ll do as the (Network Operations Engineer – L1):

- Work in 24x7 rotational shifts for service operations.
- Monitor IT infrastructure: servers, storage, backup, network devices (switches, routers, firewalls), and security devices (IPS, IDS).
- Categorize and qualify alerts from monitoring platforms and escalate to respective teams.
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., ScienceLogic, Zabbix, ManageEngine) and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Ivanti).
- Perform initial troubleshooting for basic issues.
- Handle major incident management and participate in bridge calls.
- Route incidents, service requests, and changes to appropriate stakeholders within SLA.
- Coordinate with Duty Manager for ticket queue management.
- Maintain vigilance for major incidents or widespread service-impacting events.
- Basic technical knowledge of Layer 1, 2, and 3 concepts (VLAN, STP, IP addressing).
- Eagerness to learn emerging technologies like Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, Cloud Connectivity, and Security.

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to quickly learn and manage a wide range of technical issues.
