Position Overview:

The Desktop Support Engineer will provide advanced technical support to end-users, handle complex desktop-related issues, and assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware and software.

What you’ll do as a Desktop Support Engineer:

  • Provide onsite/deskside support for Windows desktops and laptops.
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS issues (Windows 10/11), login, performance, and basic system errors.
  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, peripherals, and accessories.
  • Handle hardware diagnostics and coordinate replacements with vendors/OEMs as required.
  • Provide basic support for: MS Outlook, MS Office applications, Printers, scanners, and VC peripherals, LAN connectivity, WiFi access, patch cords
  • Log, track, and update incidents and service requests in ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent).
  • Perform IMAC activities (Install, Move, Add, Change).
  • Support field activities including site visits, device deployments, and audits as required.
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for escalations.
  • Maintain asset records and ensure proper documentation and signoffs.
  • Adhere to SLA and compliance requirements at the customer site.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, specifically with desktop engineering or desktop support.
  • Practical expertise in Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing BitLocker encryption. Basic network and hardware troubleshooting Skills.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience with any ticketing tool.
  • Exposure to Apple products to effectively support mixedOS environments.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory (password reset, user unlock, group membership)
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, WiFi)
  • Experience with desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting.
