Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable specialist is responsible for providing financial, administrative and data entry services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that A/P finances are accurate and up to date, that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits without any errors.

What you’ll do as the Accounts Payable Specialist:

Employees employed in the role of Accounts Payable Specialist shall be required to apply their independent mind and demonstrate intellectual abilities in their decision-making.

• Timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices / credit notes ensuring three-way match before issuing payment to vendors.
• Ensure that costs are accurately recorded into the ERP, with correct coding, currency, VAT, vendor data for all EMEA entities.
• Escalate invoice authorization according to the authority matrix for obtaining valid internal authorization.
• Conduct weekly vendor statement reconciliations and resolve any differences.
• Involvement in the weekly & monthly Payment Run process in accordance with company procedures to ensure that suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Resolve any invoice/payment discrepancies in a timely manner by liaising with vendors and Internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to complete month-end processes.
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values.

What you will bring to the team:

• Knowledge of accounts payable, maintaining general ledgers in ERP, VAT.
• Deliver to strict guidelines and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst meeting deadlines.
• Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze data and proactively take corrective action, if any
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Excellent prioritization skills.
• MS/Masters/Bachelors in Finance/Accounting/ ACCA/CA along with relevant experience.
