Zones is a dynamic and innovative technology solutions provider seeking a talented Enterprise Architect (EA) to join our high-impact PreSales technical solution team for the North Central Region of the US.

  • A Story-Teller: You possess the ability to differentiate between a client’s needs versus wants, understanding the ‘why’ before the ‘what’, and cross-sell the right combination of products and services that combines our physical supply chain and its related services through a consultative approach.
  • A Problem Solver: With advanced analytical and solutioning skills, you will ensure that the solution proposed by the Solutions Architect has been designed, estimated, and priced right.
  • A Strategist: As an integral player in our growth strategy for 2024 and beyond, the successful candidate will spearhead initiatives, lead with strategic vision, and craft cutting-edge solutions for substantial Professional and Managed Services opportunities."
Responsibilities:   
   
Collaboration with Sales Team:   
  • Work closely with the sales team to uncover and develop product, service and solutions (combination of products + services) opportunities.  The EA will participate, as part of the sales process, in the early stages of an opportunity
  • The EAs responsibility will be to uncover the clients needs and weave a story of what’s possible to provide vision and direction for what is required today while establishing a path for tomorrow.
  • The EA must understand how to shape an opportunity to include offering beyond the initial requirements to include offering from other practices.
Solution Design:   
  • Leverage the right Solution Architects in one or more of our four practices to perform a detailed Discovery and create the right solution at the right price.
  • Ensure the solution developed by the Practice Architect(s) meets the requirements captured during your meeting with the client.  While EA is not responsible to develop the proposal/SOW/pricing calculator, the EA is responsible for the deliverable back to the client.
  • Understand the clients’ needs and help determine the price to win.
  • Stress test the solution before submitting it to the client.
  • Orchestrate meetings to enable the Practice Solution Architect to present our proposal to the client and ensure that feedback is incorporated if we need to submit a more refined proposal. 
Technical Leadership:   
  • The EA needs to remain on the forefront of technology and the related services. 
  • Your understanding of how clients could leverage these modern technological advances will be used to guide opportunities.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:   
  • The EA must become a Trusted Advisor, be a Client Advocate
  • The EA must develop their own relationships within the supported accounts.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders such as Solution Architects, Project Managers, Delivery Engineers, and clients to ensure successful implementation of our projects.
  • Communicate effectively to address concerns, answer queries, and provide ongoing support.
  • The EA is intended to be the first in and the last out.  The EA must own our opportunities from inception to the final closing. 
What you Bring:  
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Information Technology Presales or Solution Architecture with leading Technology Consulting firms. Experience and knowledge should be deep in one or more of the four practices we focus on, with working knowledge in the remaining practice areas.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar deals spanning Products, Professional Services, and Managed Services.
  • Ability to articulate solutions persuasively in written responses, solution presentations, and oral presentations to clients.
  • Deep understanding of services cost and price benchmarks.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a globally distributed team.
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $180,000 - $250,000, this role is bonus eligible.
