Position Overview:
 
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst with demonstrated experience in sales compensation and data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. This role is pivotal in supporting the governance and administration of quarterly and annual sales incentive compensation as well as company bonus programs.

  • Perform analytics and modeling for senior team members and Sales leadership on compensation plan performance, scenario analysis, and effectiveness reviews to provide business insights.
  • Utilize mathematical and statistical modeling to provide data-driven recommendations, including operational and financial cost implications.
  • Complete sales performance reports and data visualizations to communicate sales compensation results and quantify business impact.
  • Create scenario-based calculators to help the sales force estimate potential payouts based on specific deal attributes.
  • Ensure the accuracy of commission calculations by maintaining and validating the integrity of sales data.
  • Provide analytical and costing support in the design and documentation of commission and bonus plans.
  • Produce and analyze reports related to commissions to monitor performance and identify relevant trends.
  • Offer valuable insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis of commission data.
  • Audit, maintain, enhance, and refresh compensation databases and systems.
  • Support day-to-day ad hoc analytical data analysis.
  • Aggregate data to participate in compensation surveys.
  • Validate data, quantify impact through analysis, and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
  • Assist with the global commission and bonus payout process, including manual compensation adjustments, calculations, and approval processes.
  • Create mechanisms to improve process efficiency.
  • Perform complex data analysis to drive business process improvements.
  • Identify gaps in business and system processes to drive automated solutions.
  • Cost of living (inflation) analysis on Global areas to ensure compensation aligns with cost of living/inflation increases
What you will bring to the team: 
  • 5+ years of proven experience in sales compensation and data analysis.
  • Strong business insight and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and influence in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in using the Xactly Incent platform or similar tools preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background. 
  • Exhibits outstanding analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present meaningful data sets with precision and thoroughness. 
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive important, actionable insights. 
  • Strong Excel skills
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $90,000 - $125,000.
Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
