Commercial Project Manager

Fluidra is looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our team in Portland, TN.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Commercial Project Manager is focused on Commercial pool products. The Commercial Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for commercial pool projects and processes, providing technical support. The position is responsible for pump room, deck, and/or custom products such as special custom rails, Swim-Walls and bulkheads. This position requires seamless communication with the Commercial Sales Specialists, Commercial Project Managers, customers, engineering firms, and the Fluidra Production, Customer Service, Logistics & Sales Teams, to support the commercial projects bid process. The main goal is to prepare quotes and submittal packages (drawings and specifications) requested for commercial pools, along with the tools necessary to achieve it. Strong drafting skills are required to create and modify drawings, along with knowledge of the equipment and Hydraulics and the ability to supervise a team. Additionally, you will:
- Responsible for the team that creates project deliverable 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Properly maintain drawing system integrity in the product data management system according to company policy.
- Create project quote files and communicate with the Project Managers and Commercial Sales team to generate product lines for the quote.
- Once POs are received, verify the necessary information, notify the Commercial Project Manager and prepare the Submittal package (drawings, technical specifications, quotations and other documents) for approval.
- Respond to special requests (technical info, drawings, etc) from the local Health Departments and ensure proper legalization.
- Maintain organized and detailed project records with ERP system.
- Coordinate the definition of digital tools to support the Submittals generation process.
- Coordinate/collaborate with factory teams on large projects to ensure consistency and cohesiveness throughout all engineering packages.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment on moderate to high complexity projects. This will include completing sets of drawing projects with good documentation and organization.
- Have specific knowledge about Hydraulics in order to understand the pool equipment and its functionality within the equipment room.
- Ability to work with multiple different CRM and ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Should be detail oriented, well organized, and able to work in a fast growth environment.
WHAT WE SEEK
- 5+ years’ experience as a product specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Demonstrated expertise in swimming pool Equipment products
- Computer skills - proficient computer system-based tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Proven experience leading a technical team and achieving success on short to long term, complex projects
- Strong technical background with 2+ years’ experience using AutoCAD, Revit and/or SolidWorks
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
