Quality Technician
Description
Fluidra’s looking for a Quality Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Inspection of finished and in-process products by performing visual, dimensional and documentation inspection and audits
- Using inspection equipment, measuring techniques and use of PC and mainframe computer system
- Perform Root Cause Analysis
- Follow specified procedures or instructions within the framework of the product quality requirements
- Participate in Kaizens and other continuous improvement activities
- Assist in conducting Product Tests and Assessment.
- Document non conformances
- Ensure required GMP is being followed
- Perform related duties as assigned by Manager
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
WHAT WE SEEK
- Must have 3+ years in a quality control position in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers
- Excellent computer proficiency
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing full support to the production team
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Ability to read and understand drawings and work instructions
- Ability to read measuring instruments (micrometers, scales, calipers, and indicators)
- ISO 9001 experience is a plus
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or Technical certificate preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and communicate clearly with coworkers
