Maintenance Technician

Fluidra is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at our S.R. Smith office in Portland, TN.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine mechanical and electrical maintenance support to assure that facilities and infrastructure is maintained in an acceptable manner. In addition, troubleshoots production equipment when problems arise to prevent unscheduled downtime events. Performs specified preventive and predictive maintenance again to minimize scheduled downtime and reduce maintenance cost. In addition, is trained on programming bending and other complicated technical equipment and performs operator back up functions to support production on this equipment as required.
WHAT WE SEEK
- PLC Troubleshooting. Performs general non-specialized tasks in the maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds as required.
- Performs a variety of general tasks to include but not limited to painting, bolting, welding, machining, simple plumbing, heat & air service, electrical connections/disconnections etc.:
- Makes general repairs to production equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical.
- Troubleshoots equipment when down to return it to production state in a timely manner.
- Understands and executes full LOTO in all situations as required.
- Follows all plant safety rules including using the appropriate PPE in situations encountered.
- Defines and performs preventive maintenance on all key pieces of equipment to prolong life, prevent unscheduled breakdowns and control cost.
- Understands accountability for unsafe behaviors and acts.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent

Position starts at $23.00/ hour. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
