Fluidra’s seeking a Systems Administrator to join the IT team onsite in Carlsbad, CA. 
   
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE   
The Systems Administrator is a key role focused on supporting lifecycle management, device security, automation, and ensuring seamless operations within a modern enterprise environment. You will be responsible, along with the team, for managing systems and devices using Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Okta, alongside device management solutions like Intune and JAMF for OSX. Additionally, you will drive automation efforts using PowerShell and Python.  The role also provides mentorship to the Operations (L1) team and backup and support for the Infrastructure team (L3). 
  
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lifecycle Management:
    Support and maintain user and system account lifecycle management through Active Directory, Office 365, and Okta, ensuring timely provisioning, de-provisioning, and security governance and compliance.
     
  • Device Management & Security:
    Use tools such as Tanium, Intune, and JAMF to patch, secure, and deploy applications across a range of devices, including both Windows and OSX environments. Ensure the security of devices using company-standard security tools and best practices.
     
  • Automation & Scripting:
    Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python to streamline and improve operational efficiency, with a focus on tasks like user provisioning, application deployment, and system monitoring.
     
  • MDM (Mobile Device Management):
    Utilize Microsoft Intune for Windows devices and JAMF for OSX devices to manage, secure, and deploy configurations and applications to company endpoints.
     
  • Collaboration & Documentation:
    Work closely with IT teams and management, providing technical support and expertise. Document all processes, change management, incidents, and asset configurations in Tanium or relevant tracking systems.
     
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    Provide escalation support for complex help desk tickets via ServiceNow, troubleshooting technical issues across systems, devices, and applications. Document resolutions and create knowledge base articles to pass on responsibilities to the Help Desk team for ongoing support. Ensure that routine tasks and troubleshooting processes are well-documented, enabling smooth transitions of responsibilities to the Help Desk for first-level support, while also collaborating with them to provide training or guidance to improve their handling of escalated issues.
     
  • Cross-Training & Knowledge Sharing:
    Act as a subject matter expert in your areas of expertise, cross-training other IT staff and providing guidance on specialized skills.
     
  • After-Hours Support:
    Be available for after-hours support during infrastructure maintenance, patching windows, and other critical emergencies.
     
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Okta 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and services 
  • Experience in mobile device management using Microsoft Intune (Windows) and JAMF (OSX) 
  • Experience with automation using PowerShell or Python 
  • Experience with patch management and security tools like Tanium 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues 
  • Knowledge of VMware and virtualization technologies is a plus 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on documentation and process improvement 
 
WHAT WE SEEK  
  • 4+ years of working experience as a System Administrator or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Office 365 Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Security features.
  • Experience with device management tools for patching, application deployment and securing devices.
  • Proven experience working in highly collaborative environments with IT and business partners.
  • Automation using PowerShell or Python. 
  • Tanium administration is a plus 
  • Soft skills working with different levels of emplooyees at an organization. 
 
EDUCATION  
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training

Expected salary range is $80,000 - $135,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
