Description

Fluidra is seeking a Janitor to join our team in Arlington, WA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

Keep up with duties related to all health and safety regulations and fire and explosion prevention by ensuring the following (including but not limited to):

  • General cleaning of the building and office areas, including but not limited to: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, maintaining garbage and restroom areas, etc…)
  • Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities, noting and communicating any problems or necessary repairs to management.
  • Process small and large scrap FRP
  • Dust cured resin batches
  • Remove/drain empty containers and barrels (IE: For catalyst, putty, resin…)
  • Dusting throughout facility (floors, exhausters with filters, horizontal surfaces, etc…)
  • Maintain chop and laminating areas (these areas have floor paper and cardboard that need to be routinely changed due to fire hazard)
  • Restocking and maintaining supply rooms/storage areas

WHAT WE SEEK

  • 1+ years or proven work experience in janitor position
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to work independently and work cross-functionally with Fluidra team members
  • Strong integrity and be a good representation of the organization.

 

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided based on the employee's position and work area
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles - PPE provided
  • The employee is occasionally required to work from an elevated position of approximately 6 feet on a flat surface and handle hazardous materials
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas
  • This is a manufacturing facility where fiberglass dust, dirt, and other unfavorable environmental conditions are prevalent, dust masks or respirators are required
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided based on the employee's position and exposure

Expected hourly rate is $18.00 per hour.
